ANTWERP STARTUP FAIR: A FINE COOPERATION BETWEEN THE CITY OF ANTWERP AND PARTNERS

Antwerp boasts an active and rapidly growing startup scene. Not only does the city have more startups every year, several incubators and supporting initiatives are also set up each year. They have one goal in common: offer promising startups the opportunity to grow and settle in the city, under the motto: Antwerp is open for business.

That was the reason for organizing an Antwerp Startup Fair on Wednesday 4 May for the first time. It was good to see that for this event, a whole range of players in Antwerp's startup scene joined forces. Start it @kbc, Telenet Kickstart powered by Idea Labs, iMinds and Idealabs brought together most of the existing starters. These organizations and numerous starters that they helped grow, and still do, make Antwerp into a solid startup city.

The fair is organized by startups.be, the umbrella organization of the Belgian startups, and brought everyone together in the region who are interested to work for, or buy from, a startup.  Several partners team up in order to support startups in the best way possible.

Partners of the Antwerp Startup Fair

In addition to the aforementioned startup organizations, Voka  - Chamber of Commerce Antwerp-Waasland, Microsoft Innovation Center, Wolters Kluwer, Xerius, Digipolis, Netwerk Ondernemen and Cresco managed to enthuse many companies from their network to come and take a look at the Antwerp Startup Fair. Thanks to VDAB, Antwerp Management School, AIESEC and Bloovi, many prospective employees were encouraged to register for the fair. It was the task of TaPasCity to encourage companies to map out their professional DNA. Finally, the city of Antwerp took care of the professional framework to bring the partners together and discover shared interests.
